Architecture is dedicated to sustainable business and design. The following is brief summary of commitments.
Business
Minimise unnecessary vehicle travel by offering video conference design consultation. Operate a paperless office. Unless specifically requested, all correspondence and design documentation is submitted electronically. Planning Applications are uploaded digitally onto the national Planning Portal.
Design
Where possible natural or renewable materials arer specified. The specification of non-recyclable materials is avoided, including components that have toxic chemicals embedded in the manufacturing process, end product or off-gas post-installation. All designs are carefully considered in relation to orientation, heat gain, heat loss and glazing area. If necessary an energy consultant is engaged to verify the thermal implications of large areas of glazing.
